OUR HISTORY

Ted Sprague founded SPRAGUE SCIF Surface Technology as a natural extension of his decades-long career at Sprague Floor Covering, a family-run business established by his father in 1946. Ted leveraged his industry expertise to address a critical need for high-quality SCIF room surfaces installations.

SPRAGUE SCIF Surface Technology took shape when Ted was brought on to oversee the installation of a floor system essential to a SCIF room construction project, that met strict government specifications. During the project, Ted identified a common failure point in how RF Shielding panels were traditionally secured. Drawing on his flooring expertise, he developed an improved, precision-applied installation process that proved significantly more effective than standard industry methods.

Fueled by his experience and a passion for protecting our nation, SPRAGUE SCIF Surface Technology was born.
